Crown of the Valley Brewing Society (COVBS) is an extremely dedicated homebrewing club hailing out of Pasadena, CA. Our mission: To strive to produce exceptional homebrew for and amongst ourselves and the rest of the homebrewing and craft beer community. Established in 1988, COVBS is currently celebrating our 22nd year of homebrewing excellence. Crown of the Valley is an amazing wealth of brewing knowledge for members and non-members alike.

Honoring and staying true to the homebrewing and craft beer community, we are always welcoming new members and educating new people about our craft. We truly believe that this community is one of the best to be involved with.

The club meets regularly once a month to sample, analyze and critique each others' brews. Business includes style discussions, upcoming events such as competitions, festivals, and other events going on in the brewing community. There is also an online forum where a wide range of topics can be viewed and discussed. Club projects, fundraisers, events, and anything beer related are discussed on the forum and at the monthly meetings.

What's New?

Congratulations to Jeff Crowell for his BOS, and Wally Larrimore for his 1st place entry in the Doug King Memorial Competition at Eagle Rock Brewery! Jeff will be brewing his Dortmunder Export on Eagle Rock's system and presenting it in the Pro-Am at GABF!

COVBS will be brewing at the LA County Fair again this year!!


The 2011 National Homebrew Conference will be held in San Diego! Being right in the Crown's backyard, we plan to have a huge showing!

-COVBS is hosting an all new COC this year. AHA COC Angels Share @ Eagle Rock Brewery May 14th. All Wood-Aged Beers!
